Poems

Recently in class we have been working on a cyberbullying project. These are a few of the poems we wrote that will be a part of the project.

The Power of Words:
One word can change the day
A day that ends in pain
With words a plenty
Aimed to harm
None will land gently
A pain to the heart.

Forecast:
Fingers fly
Across the keys
Somewhere a child dies
Heart as delicate as a breeze.

Rumours:
Screens flickering
Children whispering
Hearts torn
As rumors are born.

Falling:
Cruel grins
Committing a sin
Tears drop as they embrace it all
And forever they will fall.

Travelling

Dear Reader,

Along with painting, I always enjoyed travelling. My family is very diverse and I have travelled all over the world experiencing many amazing things. Although I haven't yet posted anything that I have actually taken yet, this picture intrigues me. In a way it looks mysterious, the way the fog gathers around the base of the tree. The tree is silohetted against what I assume is the rising sun. Its just very intriguing. You can just imagine what it must seem like to take that picture. Imagine sitting out on a rock facing the rising sun. Its fresh out and sun slowly illuminates your surroundings. When I write stories, sometimes I get so caught up trying to express the feelings of what you are experiencing, often I forget to stick to the plot. I admit I'm not the best writer, but when I write I can see, feel, practically experience what I'm writing. I've been told I'm a very visual person. In a way I think that is why I enjoy reading so much. As I said before, this picture is mysterious. Does it tell a story to you?

Until then,

Random Thought of the Week

Hello Readers,

Along with posting my thoughts on many different pictures, I will also be starting a post called Random Thought of the Week. In these posts I will do exactly as it says, share some completely random, irrelevant idea with you. Feel free to leave comments.

Random Thought #1:

In math class today, our class came up with a so called "theme song" promoting math. Let me just say though, my math class is quite... strange, lets put it that way.

So anyway, onto what I was going to say. We came up with a parody to the song I'm Sexy and I Know It. I'm pretty sure most people have heard of it, unless they just happen to live under a rock... Heres how it goes:

We're smart and we know it,

Look at that problem,
Ah,
Look at that problem,
Ah,
I work it out!

When I walk into class,
This is what I see,
Everybody stops and is starin' at me,
I got a calculator in my pocket,
And I'm not afraid to show it!
(show it, show it)

We're smart and we know it!

And so ends my random thought of the week, Alevua!
